Our mission is to help individuals grieving the loss of a loved one find inner peace through transformative hiking experiences, community and resources.
We currently offer our "Hike to Honor" program, a multi-day, destination-based camping and hiking adventure designed to guide participants on a healing journey through nature. Stay tuned for other programs in 2025!
We have multiple volunteer opportunities for available. If you are interested in helping us make an impact, please email our Founder, Roland Jimenez a roland@comeandhikeit.org
My name is Roland "Bones" Jimenez, and my journey has been shaped by profound loss. I lost my youngest brother, Michael, to cancer in 1988; my second-eldest brother, Javier, to a sudden illness in 1991; my eldest brother, Arturo, in 2017; my beloved mother, Lucia, in 2024; and most recently, the man I admired most—my father, Stanley. Through grief, I discovered healing in nature, especially through hiking. Now, I'm committed to helping others do the same.
Hike to Honor is a multi-day, destination-based camping and hiking non-profit program designed to guide participants on a healing journey through nature after the loss of a loved one. This unique experience allows individuals to fully immerse themselves in nature, engaging in activities that foster healing, self-reflection, and personal growth.
In summary, Hike to Honor takes participants to a beautiful destination, where they will set up camp, embark on a meaningful hike to honor their loved ones, and embrace nature’s beauty through shared group experiences. The goal is for participants to discover a path to inner peace that lightens the burden of grief, helping them heal, reconnect with themselves, and carry the memory of their loved ones forward with renewed strength and purpose.

Please note, Come and Hike It is by no means a replacement for professional mental therapy counseling, but rather a complementary approach that enhances the healing process. If you or someone you know is currently struggling with grief, consider reaching out to a reputable mental health organization, such as Just Mind Counseling.
